Balch Springs supports Health Center Funding Initiative

City of Balch Springs attends press conference on February 7, 2018 to support a call to action by Foremost Family Health Centers to Congress regarding funding for community health centers. Representatives from Dallas County, Parkland Hospital, Los Barrios Unidos Community Clinic, Representative Eric Johnson’s office and Representative Eddie Bernice Johnson’s office were also in attendance. Also, in attendance was Judge Clay Jenkins.  Foremost has been in the healthcare business since 1986.  Since 2012 the City of Balch Springs has partnered with Foremost Health Center to secure a health center in Balch Springs. Foremost Family Health Center opened its second location to Balch Springs on January 13, 2014 and is located at 3515 Shepherd Lane.  The 8,000 SF Health Center has eight employees including on site doctors. Foremost Family Health Center provides medical services for all ages such as family medicine, pediatrics, immunizations, behavioral health, OB/Gyn, social services and health & wellness education. The Health Center’s focus is primarily on preventive care.  Most insurance plans are accepted.
