Denny’s Restaurant and Fuzzy’s Restaurant opened in the City of Balch Springs. The Balch Springs Industrial and Economic Development Corporation (Type A) sold 1.445 acers of real property to Almo Investment II Ltd. to construct two restaurants at their board meeting on April 25, 2017. The two restaurant sites are directly north of the intersection of Beltline Road and 1-20 Frontage Road. The 5,031 square foot Denny’s Restaurant and 2,329 square foot Fuzzy’s Restaurants are in the final stages of the development process and should tentatively start construction Summer 2017 and completed by Fall/Winter 2017. Almo Investment II Ltd also owns the Texas Best Smokehouse, Exxon and Sonic located at Beltline Road and I-20. The City is excited to work with Mr. Tatari (Principal of Almo Investment II Ltd) again to bring two new restaurants to the City of Balch Springs.
It’s not hard to drive around the city and not see the “Growth” happening in Balch Springs. Several new businesses have opened their doors in 2016 and several more are scheduled to start construction in 2017. Some of the companies that have opened their doors in 2016 and 2017 are Fast Fuel, FastMed Urgent Care, Fiesta Mart, Fox Travel Center, Motel 6, Napoli’s Italian Restaurant, and Scottish Inn. Currently under construction is Discount Tire store which is located along the 12000 block of Lake June Road directly across from the Whataburger restaurant and plans are under review for expansion of the existing Quick Trip store.
