Economic Development Type A Sells Land To LDG Development

LDG -Beltline Place

On October 30, 2018 the Balch Springs Industrial & Economic Development Type A Board sold 18.713 acres of land to LDG Development. The 220-unit multifamily property is located on the South East corner of South Beltline Road and Lasater Road. The Economic Development Staff along with City Manager Susan Cluse has been working with LDG Development to make this development transpire. The City of Balch Springs needs quality workforce affordable housing to spur further growth to the City.  This $34 million development is expected to assist with the growth and will bring 5 acres of much needed retail to the area. 

The controlled gated community amenities will include a swimming pool, children’s playscape, a community area which will have a gazebo with grills and picnic tables, equipped fitness center, equipped business center, furnished community room, library with accessible sitting areas, and a health screening room.  Each unit will include Energy Star appliances, laundry and dryer hook ups, fire sprinklers, covered patios and balconies.

LDG Development started construction in November and should be completed late 2020.
